Cape Cellular pricing explained

Cape has one plan and one price, which makes the pricing unusually easy to explain. The parts worth understanding are the early adopter rate, the fact that taxes are already included, and how far referrals can take the bill down.

The two prices

Cape lists $99/mo as its standard rate. Sign up before 31 December 2026 and you get $70/mo instead, described as a rate you keep for life rather than an introductory period that expires.

That deadline is the single most consequential thing about Cape pricing. The difference is $29/mo, which is roughly $350 a year, every year, for as long as you stay.

Taxes and fees are already in that number

Cape includes taxes and fees in the advertised price. This matters more than it sounds.

Most US carriers advertise a base rate and then add regulatory fees, surcharges and taxes on top, commonly adding somewhere in the region of 10–25% depending on where you live. A $60 plan can easily bill at $72.

So comparing Cape against another carrier means comparing its price against the other plan's total, not its headline. Cape at $70 is genuinely $70.

How referrals change the number

Each referral takes $20/mo off — for both the new subscriber and the person whose code was used. It is not a one-time credit, and it stacks with each additional referral.

Starting from the $70 early adopter rate, that works out as: one referral $50/mo, two $30/mo, three $10/mo, four and the bill is gone. From the $99 rate it takes five.

This is also why a code can stop working. Cape publishes no hard redemption cap, but once someone has referred enough people to zero out their own bill there is nothing further to discount, and their code may stop applying.

What you are actually buying

One flat plan with unlimited talk, text and data. There are no tiers to compare, no per-line pricing ladder, and no promotional rate that quietly steps up after a year.

Whether the price is reasonable depends almost entirely on whether Cape's privacy architecture is worth paying for, since that is what the premium buys rather than more data or faster speeds.

Some codes on this board are the operator's own, and using one benefits them.
